Roundhegians RFC – Dog Policy

  • At Roundhegians RFC, in line with England Rugby guidance, the exercising of dogs on the club grounds is strictly prohibited.
  • Dogs are allowed at Roundhegians RFC but must be always kept on a lead and under control.
  • Dogs must not be taken onto the playing surfaces or training areas and are to remain on the hard-standing areas and grassed surfaces immediately in front of the clubhouse and behind the white barriers.
  • Where possible, please exercise your dog well before bringing them to the club to minimise the chance of dogs fouling on the premises.
  • Any dog mess must be cleared up immediately and disposed of properly.
  • Please take care if using a telescopic lead, as this can cause a trip hazard and you may not be aware of what your dog is doing several metres away from you!
  • Dogs are allowed in the clubhouse but must be kept under close control, and we ask that you take particular care and keep them away from food preparation and serving areas at all times.
  • We ask dog owners to exercise common sense at times when the clubhouse is at it busiest – on match days and during events – and avoid bringing dogs into the clubhouse if possible.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome at all times.
  • Dogs are not permitted in the kitchen and dining room area at any time.
  • The club reserves the right to ask that a dog be removed from the grounds or clubhouse at any time, should it be deemed appropriate.
  • Managers and coaches are asked to make sure that any visiting teams are aware of this policy.
